Crusty Beer Bread

 Ingredients:
 
3 cups self-rising flour
2 tablespoons sugar
16 ounces Black Forest Brew Haus "Weisbier"
1 tablespoon caraway seed
1/4 cup raisins
 
Preparation:
 
Allow beer to reach room temperature. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together and place in a loaf pan.
Place pan in center pack of oven for 45 minutes.
Take pan out of oven and butter the loaf top.
Return pan to oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Remove pan from oven and allow to cool thoroughly.
Remove from pan and enjoy! 
 
 
 
 

Honey Beer Bread

 Ingredients:
 
3 cups Flour
3 3/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
16 - 24 ounces Black Forest Brew Haus Pilsner
2 1/4 teaspoons Salt
1 tablespoon Honey
 
Preparation:
 
Allow beer to reach room temperature. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients, except beer, together in a large bowl.
Stir together until well mixed. Add beer until smooth consistency is achieved.
Spread batter into a greased bread pan.
Place pan in center pack of oven for 45 minutes or until loaf is browned
and a wooden toothpick comes out clean.
Take pan out of oven and place on a cooling rack.
Allow to cool thoroughly before removing from pan and slicing.
 
For added "kick", add 2 Tbsp. Cayenne Pepper and minced Jalepeno Peppers to the batter!
 
 

Beer & Cheddar Cheese Soup

 Ingredients:
 
1 Tbsp. Peanut (or Olive) Oil
1 Cup Carrots, chopped
1 Cup Onions, chopped
1 Cup Celery, chopped
6 Oz. Chicken Broth
1/2 Tsp. Dry Mustard
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Tsp. Hot Sauce
1 Cup Sharp Chedar Cheese, grated
2 Tbsp. Flour
12 Oz. Black Forest Brew Haus Amber Beer
 

Preparation:
 
Saute Carrots, Onions, and Celery in the Peanut (or Olive) Oil.
Add Chicken Broth, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
Add Dry Mustard.
Mix Flour with Cheddar Cheese, then add.
Stir until Cheddar Cheese has melted.
Add beer and simmer till smooth.
 
Best served with sliced German Sausages {Bockwurst, Krinerwurst, etc.}
and homemade Beer Bread!
